MORPHE ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information when you use the MORPHE mobile application ("App").
2. Information We Collect
- Account Information: Email address, display name, and encrypted password when you create an account.
- Dream Recordings: Audio recordings of your dream narrations, which are temporarily processed for transcription and immediately deleted from our servers after processing.
- Dream Transcripts & Analyses: Text transcriptions of your dreams and AI-generated analyses, stored securely in your personal journal.
- Usage Data: App interaction data such as feature usage, analysis counts, and subscription status.
- Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and app version for troubleshooting purposes.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide dream transcription and AI-powered analysis services.
- To maintain your personal dream journal.
- To manage your account and subscription.
- To improve our services and user experience.
- To communicate important updates about the App.
4. Third-Party AI Processing (Google Gemini)
MORPHE uses Google Gemini, a third-party generative AI service operated by Google LLC, to transcribe and analyze your dream recordings. Before sending any data to Gemini, the App displays an in-app consent prompt explaining this processing and asks for your explicit permission. You may decline at any time, in which case no audio or transcript is sent.
- What is sent: the audio recording of your dream narration, the resulting transcription, and any optional context you provide (mood, recent life events) — all transmitted over HTTPS.
- Who receives it: Google LLC via the Google Gemini API. No other third party receives this content.
- How long it is retained by Google: Google processes the request transiently to generate the analysis. Per Google's API terms for paid customer use, prompt and response data is not used to train Google's foundation models and is retained only for a short period for abuse-prevention purposes before deletion.
- Equivalent protection: Google is contractually obligated under its Cloud Privacy Notice and Privacy Policy to protect this data with confidentiality and security safeguards substantially equivalent to those described here.
- Audio retention on our side: Audio files are deleted from our servers immediately after the Gemini call completes. We do not retain raw audio.
5. AI Analysis Output
The analysis text returned by Google Gemini is stored in your personal dream journal so that you can revisit it. You may delete any analysis at any time from the Profile screen, which removes it from both your device and our servers.
6. Data Storage & Security
- Your data is stored securely using Firebase (Google Cloud Platform) with encryption at rest and in transit.
- Authentication is handled via Firebase Authentication with industry-standard security practices.
- We enforce strict access controls — only you can access your dream data.
- Passwords are never stored in plaintext.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We share data only with:
- Google Gemini (audio transcription and dream text analysis — audio is deleted after processing, content is not used for model training).
- Firebase/Google Cloud (secure data storage and authentication).
- RevenueCat (subscription management — we never see your full payment details).
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data stored in the App.
- Delete your account and all associated data.
- Export your dream journal data.
- Opt out of non-essential communications.
- Request information about how your data is processed.
9. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data (dream transcripts, analyses, profile information) is permanently deleted within 30 days.
10. Children's Privacy
MORPHE is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes through the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
